The Altvogtshof is located in a peaceful side valley in the Upper Black Forest between Titisee and the Bregtal. Here, the landscape still resembles that of past centuries. The original Black Forest farmhouses with the cows in the pasture characterize the landscape. Far from the hustle and bustle, you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Altvogtshof is an ideal starting point for hikes, bike tours, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing directly from the house.

Many destinations can also be reached by car in 15-30 minutes, such as: Titisee (swimming paradise), Schluchsee, Feldberg, Wutachschlucht, Furtwangen (clock museum).

Excursion destinations within 45-70 minutes by car: Triberg Waterfalls (Germany's longest waterfalls), Vogtsbauernhöfe Gutach, the Black Forest Cathedral in Sankt Blasien, Germany's longest toboggan run in Todtnau, Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen (largest waterfall in Europe), Freiburg, Switzerland, Alsace, Lake Constance, Europe Park.
